2. IMMEDIATE MEDIA.
• Immediate media would be a good
institution to publish my magazine.
• I say this, because they have experience of
publishing magazines aimed at my
magazine’s target audience
• The magazines that they publish for this
target audience include:
• Top of the Pops
• CBeebies Weekly
• Doctor Who Adventure
• Horrible Histories
• These magazines link into my magazine’s
target audience, because they are aimed
at the children’s market
• As a result, it would fit in well with this
collection and as it is a renowned
publisher that produced these well known
magazines, it will possibly add to more
people purchasing the magazine
3. IPC MEDIA.
• IPC Media would not be suitable for my music
magazine
• This would be because of the target age range
that these magazines are aimed at
• The vast majority of the magazines on the
left, which are the magazines published by IPC
Media, are aimed at young to mature adults:
• Nuts
• NME
• Woman’s Weekly
• This example of magazines show why they
would not suit in with my music magazine which
is aimed at pre-teens, to teenagers.
• Therefore, my music magazine would not fit in
with IPC Media’s portfolio.
4. Haymarket.
• Haymarket would not be a suitable publisher for my music magazine
• This is because of the genre of magazines that they are aimed towards. These magazines are
mainly motoring/business based:
• Autosport
• F1 Racing
• Asian Investor
• The predicted target age range for this publisher would probably be male adults, and as a
result, my magazine would not fit in with the target audience as well as age range
5. MARKETING
• I think these publishers would market a
product by advertising on children’s TV
channels, during programmes which my
target gender would be interested in
• By doing this, people will be more likely
to purchase my magazine, because their
parents may be watching it with them
