The eWaft system aims to create a realistic means of food monitoring to prevent wasted resources like time and money spent on groceries. It uses ionized emitted vegetation vapors detected by a voltage drop across a sensor that is transmitted to an interactive Android tablet displaying parts per million and ripeness estimation. The system could provide a permanent integration into modern food storage and easily integrate with mobile devices. However, the science behind the project required significant learning and challenges included properly managing time to allow for problem solving.

The eWaft ionizes emitted vegetation vapors
