INTRODUCTION TO CoFCCA COFCCA is a Project focussed on forests and Adaptation to CC in the Congo Basin Main Objective: Contribute to national CC adaptation processes in targeted countries through the development of policies and strategies focussed on the sustainable use of forestsresources Duration: 2008-2011 Target countries: DRC, CAR, Cameroon Funded by IDRC
4. CONTEXT OF COMMUNICATION Why it was important to develop capacity buiding activities towards media in the region? What were the objectives ? What was implemented already ? What was already achieved? Lessons learned and way forward?

10. Major challenges (1) How to engage in the longer term with such experience (2)How to extend these activities with media to other countries within the region? (3) Evaluation of the actual activities will certainly lead us to define new strategies
11. Way forward Exploring ways to introduce forests and climate change in journalist and communication universities in Central Africa Evaluating the activities already done and how to put then forward COBAM Project as a next stage for such experience
