interest and increase their attention span?”
How do you figure out attention grabber?
Trial and error
Look to past interests, hobbies, notes of recurring behaviors
Ask family
Incorporate interests in leaning habits
Water works for Tracy. What mediums can work for others?

Water, grass, sand, desk, floor
Cold/warm, light/dark
19. Take home points:
Taking time to just be with a client does not seem like
“being productive,” IT IS!
Utilize what they know and enjoy (drumming, rocking,
etc). Allow the person to be who they are.
Exuberance can seem disruptive, especially to the
parents, but it can be the quickest and easiest path for
them to learn!
The more they learn, the more they can learn!
