Tuplets The only disadvantage to this method is that you are unable to manipulate the brackets around the figure and other formatting issues. To give yourself more control over these elements of the tuplet, first enter the notes that will appear in the figure, then click on the Tuplet tool button and click on the first note that will be part of the figure . The Tuplet Definition dialog box appears, and you can use the options there (Shape, Number, etc.) to define the formatting style of the tuplet.
