Session Title: Creating a Culture of E-Portfolios:
A Model of Institutionalizing Integrative Learning
Session Abstract: This interactive session will
demonstrate a developmental approach to building
an e-portfolio program focused on integrative
learning, including how to transition student
academic portfolios into professional portfolios
while maximizing opportunities for institutional
reporting/assessment. Framed in the Center for
Experiential Learning as a tool that fosters critical
reflection on experience, our ePortfolio Program
has established pathways for students to develop
portfolios for courses, academic programs,
assessment, and professional usage.

Session Title: Connecting ePortfolios to a 4-Year
Developmental Plan
Session Abstract: This session will provide an overview
of Loyola University Chicago’s Four-Year Plan for
Student Transformation. The Four-Year Plan was a
collaborative project of student affairs and academic
affairs, providing suggested curricular and co-curricular
high-impact experiences and milestones for
undergraduate students. The plan is currently being
launched through the E-Portfolio program, utilizing the
first-year seminar course as the gateway into the Four-
Year Plan. Future plans will be featured, including
initiatives to assess engaged learning outcomes
through Loyola’s Center for Experiential Learning.

development, using the Leadership Identity Development (LID) model and

Course, Program, Assessment and Professional ePortfolio Continuum
Session Abstract: This interactive session will demonstrate a

from Loyola University Chicago's ePortfolio Program will be featured as

Session Title: Assessment, ePortfolios, and Experiential Learning:
Expanding the Model
Session Abstract: This session focuses on the collaboration
between Loyola’s Faculty Center for Ignatian Pedagogy (FCIP) and
its Center for Experiential Learning (CEL), including a detailed look
at the CEL assessment plan and the decision to incorporate
ePortfolios. Facilitators will discuss the CEL’s development and use
of assessment rubrics and its connection to a re-accreditation
project with the Higher Learning Commission. Through smallgroup
discussions, the session will engage participants with templates for
assessment plans and potential ePortfolio projects applicable to
their home campuses. After attending this session, participants
will be able to:
(1) articulate how examples may be applied to other projects; (2)
identify programs at their own institutions
where information presented could be applied; and (3) recognize
the presented models' potential to integrate
ePortfolio and assessment planning on their own campuses.
