Introducting the 2016 Developer Competition
At the ICON US conference today we announced our 2016 developer competition to highlight your skills using IBM Collaboration Solutions as your platform for innovative, adaptable and above all useful collaboration solutions.
The competition is open to all IBM Business Partners, IBM Champions or OpenNTF contributors and we have some really cool prizes to share with the winning team and two runners-up teams.
We're offering IBM developerWorks Premium subscriptions for all members of the winning and runners-up teams, together with a cash bonus for you to have a winners party!
The winners will also receive a trophy and special recognition at IBM Connect 2017 in San Francisco.
We're looking for you to work together with colleagues in your company, or even better, in other companies to take an IBM Domino or IBM Connections system and leverage IBM Bluemix and the many services like IBM Watson, Box, Internet of Things, to deliver an engaging experience for mobile, web or Notes 9 client.
The winning and runners-up solutions will be added to the open-source OpenNTF community for everyone to access the source code and understand how they can build cognitive, connected and collaborative systems for their customers or in their business.
The competition starts on 9th June, and from 13th May you can sign up at http://ibm.biz/ics-dev-comp. We'll provide collaboration space, github repositories and a facilitator to help you pull it together over the coming months. The winners will be announced at the ICON UK conference on 15th September.
Check out this slide deck for the full details on the competition, and get together with your team-mates ready for the launch of our sign-up process.
Good luck! - Alan Hamilton
