2. ABOUT
SMART BULLYING
Bullying has so many types, the victim of each types is always the one who has no
power to fight back; like the one that so smart in school but doesn’t have so many
friend, and the one that looks more weak or have disabilities. The bulliers usually are
the children with bigger body, and not so smart in school, and they seem like envy
because the victim mostly smart in study objects but have problem with how to get
involve with social, it makes them look powerless, and it keeps going around about
this power and powerless things. Sadly, nowadays this bullying issue has become a
culture in every schools all over the world, and this is our responsibility to stop it, and
make this kind of thing doesn’t happen again in the next generation. Here is the role
of SMART BULLYING. SMART BULLYING is an anti-bullying campaign that concerned
on bullying issue which includes disabled children as the victim.
3. WHY DIFABLE CHILDREN?
While any child can be a target of bullying, children
with different abilities (difable) is significant to be
bullied but there is very little research to document
it. Many students with different abilities are already
addressing challenges in the academic environment.
When they are bullied, it can directly impact their
education. Bullying is not a harmless rite of
childhood that everyone experiences, it can
negatively impact a child’s access to education and
lead to:
• School avoidance and higher rates of absenteeism
• Decrease in grades
• Inability to concentrate
• Loss of interest in academic achievement
• Increase in dropout rates
• Losis of confidence
• Willing to take a revenge
6. GOAL
The main goal of the SMART BULLYING is to educate
people and bring more awareness on bullying issue
especially bullying among disabled children from the
very young age in order to create a fair environment
for children with special needs in Malang.
7. TARGET AUDIENCE
This project is intended for
• Elementary School Students with or without disability.
• Junior High School Students with or without disability.
• Student’s Parents
• Teachers
9. STRATEGY
1. Smart Bullying Goes to School
A physchology education about bullying since very young age is a MUST. This event is to educate
Elementary School and Junior High School Student about bullying on difable issue and the impact of it
through class to class presentation
2. Singing, Poem Reading, Drawing and Essay Competition
A competition for both normal and difable children. There will be an audition for singing and poem
reading before the final round. Drawing the competition will be held at the main event. Student who want
to participate in Essay Competition, they can write an essay about “Unity in Friendship” and submit their
essay three days before main event. The objective of this event is to make people realize that children with
special needs are able to do what normal people do. So, they (especially children) don’t have a reason
to bully difable children anymore.
3. Mini Talkshow with Pusat Studi dan Layanan Disabilitas (PSLD) Universitas Brawijaya
This is an event for difable people to difable people. The objective is to empower difable children and their family
with the story of some difable students from Universitas Brawijaya. Hope this event can motivate them to reach their
dream.
4. I Respect, I care
It’s a one day event for for both normal and difable children to meet, compete, and share together. There will be a
selfie competition too! Participant should take a selfie with their new friends, including difable children. The objective
is to make children getting close with each other without seeing the difference abliity from their friends.
