8. In these exercise we used different materials to learn the volume measurements. We learn how many of each tool fit in the others. We also discovered other ways of measuring volume. We also did comparisons with the measurements. Explanation

9. My opinion I think that this exercise was very nice because we learn a lot. We didn’t only read it on internet or in class but we did it and prove that this information was right and we had fun. We also needed to use real water and real materials what did it more interesting and different.

11. justifications 4x10=40 because 4 cups make up a quart and there are 10 quarts. 2x10=20 because 2 pint make up 1 quart and there are 10 quarts. 16x12=32 because 16 cups make up 1 gallon and there are 12 gallons. 12x8=96 because 8 pints make 1 gallon and there are 12 gallons. 12x4=40 because 4 quarts make 1 gallon and there are 12 gallons. Because 3 teaspoons make 1 tablespoon and we have 6 teaspoons. 2x8=16 because 2 cups make up 1 pint and there are 8 pints. 8/2=4 because 2 pints make up 1 quart and there are 8 pints. 72/16 = 4,5.

12. EXPERIENCE! for 30 seconds the water running is equal to 32 cups of water. I multiply it by 2 to know how much water I spend during a minut.32x2=64. I waste 64 cups of water a minute. I spend 30 minutes while taking a shower. I take a shower 2 times a day. I take a shower 12 times during a week. Violet is from Monday to Friday in her home. She waste 17 liters of water pear day. On Thursdays she wash her cloth and she spend 30 liters of water. What is the total consume of water that Violet consume per month? Answere:17x5=85 85+30=115 115x4=460. The total consume of water of Violet per month is of 460 liters.

13. 2. I flush the toilet in 24 hours 3 times. It take 2 minutes to brush my teeth. I spend 128 (64x2=128) cups of water. I brush my teeth 3 times a day. I spend 384 (128x3=384)cups of water a day. d) It takes 1 minute to wash my hands. I spend 64 cups of water washing my hands.
