STT DTM CD and PMD Measurements The STT DTM (Dispersion Test Module) gives network planners a cost-effective tool to analyze new and existing fibers for their dispersion characteristics in order to determine if those fibers can support higher transmission bit rates and DWDM. Utilizing high sensitivity and high-speed photon counting detection technology, it measures both Chromatic Dispersion (CD) and Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) according to ITU-T recommendations.
