Slides for my presentation in Yekaterinburg, Russia about crowdsourcing - what it is, two local crowdsourcing projects, and what else we should crowdsource.
10. The Red Line The “crowd” voted on tourist sites to be featured on a walking tour of Yekaterinburg. A red line was painted on the sidewalks of the city leading to sites with numbers. A website contains corresponding information.
13. Books for Russia In the 1940s, Americans donated books to the Russian people. Inside each book was the name of the contributing person or organization. The Regional Library in Yekaterinburg is working to locate the participants or their families - both Russians and Americans – whose lives were touched by this project.
17. 1000 books have been located so far. 1 person who was part of the book program In the 1940s has been found. You can help locate more participants. www.BooksForRussia.com
