In June 2010, the largest
pro bono public interest law firm
in the United States, Public
Counsel, recognized Proskauer
Rose with the Law Firm Pro Bono
Award at the William O. Douglas
Award Dinner in Los Angeles. On
hand to accept the award was
labor and employment attorney
Allen Fagin, the firm’s then-
Chairman and the driving force
behind the Proskauer Rose Pro
Bono Initiative.

Since 2006, the Proskauer Rose
Pro Bono Initiative has expanded
its philanthropic work in the
United States and beyond.
Among these activities, the firm
worked closely with Public
Counsel during the creation of the
Federal Pro Se Clinic at the U.S.
Courthouse in Los Angeles. The
clinic helps individuals who
cannot afford attorney
representation, providing them
with advocacy in a number of key
civil areas.
