2. PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE
 The present perfect simple expresses an action that is still going on or that
stopped recently, but has an influence on the present. It puts emphasis on
the result

3. For irregular verbs, use the participle form (see list of irregular verbs, 3rd column). For
regular verbs, just add “ed”.

6. El Presente Perfecto en inglés (Part 3)-
Just, already, yet, for y since
 Esta es la parte 3 sobre el Presente Perfecto en inglés. Pincha para ver la parte 1 y la
parte 2.
 En esta parte nos vamos a centrar en el uso de adverbios y preposiciones que
generalmente se usan con este tiempo verbal y en su colocación con respecto a la
frase. Nos centraremos en partículas tales como: just, already, yet, for y since.
 Al final del post encontrarás el link desde donde te puedes descargar esta lección
gratuitamente en PDF (y las dos anteriores sobre el Present Perfect).
 Hay ciertos adverbios y ciertas preposiciones que tienden a colarse muy a menudo en
oraciones donde la forma verbal es el presente perfecto.
 I’ve just finished this exercise – Acabo de terminar este ejercicio
 She has played the violin for ten years – Lleva tocando el violin diez años
 They have already found a place– Ya han encontrado un sitio

 Recientemente puede significar hace solo unos momentos o en un pasado muy reciente.
 ◾Jane has just made a cake. Would you like some?
 Jane acaba de hacer un pastel. ¿Quieres un poco? – Hace solo un momento que lo ha
preparado.
 ◾We’ve just bought a new house –
 Nos hemos comprado una casa – Muy recientemente, pero no necesariamente ese mismo día
 ‘Just’ siempre va entre el auxiliar y el participio:
 Sujeto + have/has + just + Verbo (Participio) + (Complemento)

8. FOR / SINCE
 Utilizamos una expresión con las preposiciones ‘for’ o ‘since’ para indicar
cuánto tiempo lleva realizándose una acción.
 Para expresar la duración de una actividad podemos decir la cantidad de
tiempo que se lleva haciendo.
 Entonces utilizaremos dicha cantidad detrás de la preposición ‘for’.
