Patient bounded research and own work evaluation
1. In the period of December 1977 until December 1979 the value of CT scan of 50
patients with pulmo carcinoma in Amsterdam were investigated.
2. In the period of May 1980 until May 1981 there were 51 CT scans of 50 patients with
pulmo carcinoma in Eindhoven evaluated.
3. In 1982, were the skin test of 200 patients evaluated, the relation of the clinical data,
total IgE and RAST test evaluated.
4. In the period of August 1982 until September 1984 were the results of 26 patients
diagnosed and treated with small cell lung cancer, evaluated.
5. In 1986 werden het beloop van de longfunctie onderzoek vanaf 1980 tot en met
1986 van 25 patiënten met longemfyseem geëvalueerd.
In 1986, were the way of the lung function investigated, whilst from 1980 until 1986 of 25
patients with lung emphysema evaluated.
6.In March 1989, was a 2 patient‟s information days organized and evaluated. There were
410 patients and their partners visiting the activities, during those days.

5. 7. In December 1989, with the objective of quality improvement of the patient‟s care, as
interest to CARA, were the clinical data of 57recommended new patients evaluated and
discussed amongst house doctors and specialist in the region.
8. Since 1990 until 1992 were 30 patients suffering from pneumonia investigated and
studied in the framework of a AT 306.
Study title: A Phase III, Double Blind, Randomized, Comparative, Multicenter Study in
Three Parallel Groups of the Safety and Efficacy of Oral Sparfloxacin Once daily (400
mg. Once on Day 1 Followed by 200 mg. Daily), Oral Augmentin (Amoxicillin 500
mg./Clavulanic acid 125 mg.Three Times Daily) or Oral Erythromycin (1,000 mg. Twice
Daily) for Seven to Fourteen Days in the Treatment of Community acquired
Pneumonia in 808 In- or Outpatients.
9. In 1993, in the framework of Multicentre study Formoterol MT/A03 were the effectiveness
and tolerable administration of formoterol with the Swiss inhaler, formoterol with the Cyclo
inhaler and a placebo, during 3 months of 15 patients suffering from reversible obstructive
respiratory illness investigated.
10. In April 1995, in the framework of quality improvement of patient‟s care, with the
interest of CARA, were the clinical data of 63 from 97 patients, for which the anamnese
speach of an allergic illness with a positive skin test analysed and discussed, within a group
of house doctors and specialist in the region.
