SlideShare is a website for sharing presentations that allows users to upload PowerPoint files, PDFs, and other documents and make them accessible to others publicly or privately. It was founded in San Francisco and New Delhi by CEO Rashmi Sinha and initially created by Jonathan Boutelle. Users can share presentations on social networks, participate in contests, and make professional connections with others who have similar interests through joining groups on SlideShare. Teachers can use SlideShare to have students upload class presentations for others to review and to post teacher presentations for students to access online.
