72nd meeting the new criteria for SLRF
allocation:

50% Road Length Index
The fund is apportioned to 80 Provinces and 138
Cities using the formula:
LGU allocation = Annual SLRF [0.30 P.I. +0.20 VHI

6. What projects are eligible
for funding under SLRF?
•(a) road
maintenance and
the improvement of
road drainage,
•(b) for the
installation of
adequate and
efficient road
safety devices and
•(c) traffic
management
7. How are the LGU projects
funded?
DILG reviews the submitted LGU IPWs and
prepares the consolidated list of LGU
Projects for funding.
The Consolidated List of Projects is
submitted to the RB for deliberation and
approval.
Upon approval of the Road Board, DBM will
issue the SARO and NCA of the approved
projects.
8. How are the LGUs informed
of its allocation?
The Road Board approves the SLRF
apportionment based on the criteria and
set level of expenditure.
DILG Central Office issues Memorandum to
its Regional Offices to disseminate the
information to LGUs of their apportionment
and requiring the LGU to submit their
Individual Program of Works within the set
deadline.
LGUs usually are given at least one month
to prepare their Programs of Work.

concerns in the
implementation of SLRF?
Delayed release of fund by the DBM.
Slow implementation of projects by
the LGUs.
Non-submission/delayed submission
of monthly LGU reports to DPWH copy
furnished DILG on or before 25th of
every month.
14. Updates in the implementation
of SLRF
1. As a new policy of the RB, only the
LGUs that have fully liquidated their
previous SLRF releases shall be issued
with new SARO by DBM
2. Based on the MVUC Law, the SGH
Compliance of the LGUs will be an
internal policy of the DILG.
