2. CV
• A CV (Cubiculum Vitae) is a document in which you
would present to an employer in order to detail your
qualifications and experience that would qualify you for
a position.
• Who needs a CV?
• From school leavers to university graduates leaving
the lap of luxury in your
student accommodation in London – pretty much
everyone!
3. Personal Info
• There is certain information that you may not want to
include, and likewise, information that you should
include!
• For example, detailing that you are tall WILL NOT
matter for a job as an accountant, but may be more
relevant if you were applying to be a basketball
player… You get the idea.
• Keep personal information relevant; make sure that it
is applicable to the position being applied for.
4. Gaps in Employment
• Gaps are a big no no, but of course, there are
legitimate reasons too. Possibly you went traveling, or
maybe illness was a factor - or even raising your
children!
• So Legitimate gaps that can be fully justified are ok,
but remember to take the positive experiences that
you learned from your gap, don’t just say that you had
done nothing.
5. Personal Statement
• Your personal profile needs to sell you,
don’t go over the top, but again don’t be
too modest either. The trick is to be honest
here, be honest with yourself about your
skills and talents – remember that it easy
to spot a fraud!
