based on rapidly altering foundations. New information is
continually being acquired. The ability to draw distinctions
between important and unimportant information is vital. The
ability to recognize when new information alters the landscape
based on decisions made yesterday is also critical.

When studying social media and new media tools it’s a little like being soaked with a fire hose - actually it’s totally being soaked by the fire hose!
So - you don’t have to dive in head first - instead, wade in slowly and get used to the water.
As we go through the day consider what is “sticky” for you - that’s a good clue for where to start.
