3. Value Added…A Working Definition The amount of growth over time that adds value to your previous work with students based on your growth as an educator. Value added is a growth model, measuring teacher performance and the efficacy of instructional practices.

12. Staff reconvenes to for further view of current and proposed VAM evaluations. The new certificated evaluation is presented with the added components (See slide 4). First semester training on proposed VAM Domains 1& 2 will occur; WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? Second semester we will introduce and train on the final two domains: 3-Instruction &4-Professional Responsibilities.WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? Following CSTs we will have a debrief about the pilot program for implementing the VAM and receive staff’s feedback . 13. We asked , “Are out teachers being valued for the way that they learn and collaborate in this discourse of value-added method of teacher evaluation? Circle Map Activity –will stimulate dialogue and knowledge constructionof staff current definitions and knowledge base of value-added evaluations. Tuning Protocol – offers the scaffolding approach to learning where the facilitator provides more support in the early stages of understanding of VAM. Review and feedback of current evaluation-allows the teachers to see themselves co-learners engaging in a deeper approach to learning about what affects them. Andragogy
