This was presented to a group of county commissioners and county judges to provide them the pros and cons of social media. The goal was to show them the benefits of using it to reach customers in the county, especially by state extension agents.

the U.S.
• If Facebook were a country it would be the 3rd largest.
• 50% of users log onto Facebook daily.
• The average user has 130 friends.
4. Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr
The average Twitter user has 115 followers.
A new member joins LinkedIn every second.
YouTube is the second largest search engine in
the world.
More video is uploaded to YouTube in 60 days
than the 3 major U.S. networks created in 60 years.
