What is Twitter and why use it?Some of the things you might mention to introduce Twitter are:The concept is that you can keep up to date with what is happening by posting and reading concise updates from a person organisation or topicPost and read messages called tweetsTweet = text-based message of up to 140 characters, therefore short and conciseTweets can be posted through the Twitter website, through mobile phones and through other websitesCompanies promote themselves and communicate with their client base in this way.
