11. What is the PR industry getting RIGHT when
engaging with you and other bloggers?
> Timely contact and continuous engagement
> Suitable brand alignments. I got asked to review a tv game, and I
was like, erm what?
> Invitations to events; Providing review and competition copies of
titles; Forwarding press releases and other media
> Good PR doesn't feel like PR, it feels like an opportunity to further
what we do.
> FREEBIES! Bloggers love freebies!
> Something as small as movie tickets for the family is greatly
appreciated! Competitions between bloggers are also fun because
we get to interact with bloggers we may not already know, and it
gives us regular "blog fodder" when we compete with each other.

12. What is the PR industry getting WRONG when
engaging with you and other bloggers?
> There are not enough good events in Cape Town (Durban)
> Sending content not suitable for us to use. Not including Social
Media links for associated content.
> Inviting me to irrelevant events
> The same co's who send us PR stuff should really consider sending
the advertising our way too
> No free stuff

14. Analysis
> Bloggers want to be treated like tier 1 media, they enjoy
traditional assets like access to spokespersons just as much as
they appreciate digital assets
> Bloggers want content that is unique and adds value to their
readers
> Competitions for readers and advertising on blogs is a great option
for blogs
> Personalised pitches hold weight
