2. Our film poster
Ratings are shown as
boldly as possible
without
Shadows connote
an aura of mystery
The tagline
attempts to warn
the audience
what the film is
about and it
attempts to
convince the
audience to see
the film.
The title being
written in a bold
way could be a
way of getting
the audience
to notice the
title of the
movie if they
ever decide
that they want
to see it.
3. Our film magazine cover
The Pug
displays crucial
information
about what is
in the
magazine
cover.
There are
advertisements
for the different
types of films
that are being
released at this
time, making
sure that as
many readers
will buy their
magazine as is
possible.
The title of the
magazine is easily
recognizable,
drawing fans of the
magazine to buy the
magazine.
The bold title at the bottom
immediately tells the reader
what the title of the film is.
The tagline attempts to
tell people a little bit
about the movie to
convince them to go
and see it.
5. How it all works together
All of our post production work goes together as all three of them
used red or white writing in the Charlemagne standard so that they
stand out.
As well as this we used the images of Matt Plews in order to create
some form of recognition between all three aspects of our
promotional package, the film magazine, the front cover and our
Horror film trailer.
6. Why we chose this format
We chose this format as it follows the different stages of an actual
film. It has film magazine cover, a film poster and a film trailer. This is
the way in which many other films promote themselves such as the
recently released film ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and the horror film ‘It
follows’.
7. Why this format is appropriate for
our audience
This format is appropriate for our audience as it is what would be
expected of a Horror film. A Horror film would be expected to have
both a trailer and a poster in order to raise awareness of the film’s
existence.
However we also had a magazine cover in our format as it was a
very easy way in order to get publicity for our Horror film. It would
attract a large audience especially as it should attract an audience
of film fans who we could convince to see our film from its magazine
front cover.
