Helping one's local community can help fix the world. Volunteering and organizing positive activities for youth are easy ways to get involved and make an impact. This can help lower crime rates, improve graduation rates, and inspire young people. Even small acts of volunteerism and community involvement can help improve lives and communities.

Audiences: Regular people across the country need to know the importance in making a difference in their community. We all need to pitch in and encourage others to do so.

Target Audience: Young people ages 15 to 25; many are still in school and have great ideas to improve their communities to make them safer for everyone.
This target audience is moving from being unheard to having a voice. They are young and in the transition from teenage to young adult and having more responsibilities.

The big idea: Helping the community to better the lives of our youth. If nothing is done, communities will be run down, filled with crime and no positivity for our youth.

What is in it for the Audience: The audience will get self-gratitude from doing this for one. They will also receive reassurance that the youth in their community will have a better society
to grow up in. They will be safer and live in a happier place.
Why should the audience listen to me: The audience should listen to me because I have helped my community. I had a free dance class for young children who needed something
positive to do. I have seen first hand how doing simple things such as the dance class can impact so many children’s lives. It also was a good way to get the parents involved with their
children. I know several people who wish they had something positive to do as a child and who are suffering from it now as an adult.

Easy volunteer work...
IS ALL IT TAKES TO MAKE A
DIFFERENCE
Sunday, August 18, 2013
Call to Adventure: We can all live in a better world if everyone starts by doing something small for their community.
8. There are too many homeless people in
the United States
2.3 to 3.5 Million Americans have
experienced homelessness
Sunday, August 18, 2013
3 main points: Helping your community will make a big difference in the world, it can help by lowering crime rates, it can help by improving the graduation rates at schools for high
school students. Helping your community can also help to inspire young people to do positive things on a regular basis.
9. 1 in 45 Children are homeless each year,
preventing them from attending school

AND BACK INTO SCHOOL...
Sunday, August 18, 2013
Supporting point one: Helping to lower the crime rate in communities. This can be done by finding positive activities for the youth to attend, they will be focused on positive instead or
negativity and crime. They will be safer attending these activities rather than roaming the streets.

Life is hard
enough, kids
should not have
to worry about
being
homeless...
Sunday, August 18, 2013
Supporting point two: Giving the youth a positive outlook on life will help them all around, especially in school. They will feel the importance of graduating high school and because of
their new positive out look they will be more interested in school.
12. It is proven that kids do better and
learn better in school if they have a
balanced breakfast...
BUT 1.6 MILLION DO NOT KNOW WHEN
THEIR NEXT MEAL WILL BE...

IT’S EASY
Sunday, August 18, 2013
Supporting point three: Giving people a reason to be positive is a rippling effect. They will want to carry their new positive outlook over to their everyday activities, which will turn into
them being inspired to do something positive for someone else.
