3. Pearl and the Puppets
Pearl and the Puppets is a band from
Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire in the WestCentral Lowlands of Scotland. The band
comprised singer/songwriter Katie Sutherland
(vocals/guitar), Blair McMillan (drums), Gordon
Turner (guitar), Scott Clark (bass) and Michael
Abubakar (keyboard).
4. Breakdown of Video
In our music video, we decided to tell the story of a girl
who busks, as one of her hobbies. She also enjoys are and
collecting artefacts. The main plot in our indie pop video
is that Ammiel busks outside, and admires a boy that
walks past her everyday but does not notice her. Towards
the end of the video, (the bridge) Caleb brings Ammiel a
coffee in a café, and they start talking. Our video is
unique and our plot flows well with the indie pop genre.
The indie pop genre originated from the alternative rock
genre, and was initially Scottish. Ammiel plays guitar in
the video, as this is a typical instrument played in the
genre.
