Two Painters

4. The story of two rival painters Zeuxis and
Parrhasius is well known. Both of them
were renowned painters of their time.
Once Zeuxis painted grapes which were so
realitic in looks that they attracted the
nearby flying birds which were hungry,
his rival Parrhasius found it so amazing
he called the same painter to his place.

5. Parrhasius showed him his painting
which was covered with a cloth. Zeuxis
approached to remove that cloth to see
the original painting but he was so
amazed to found that the cover was itself
a part of painting.
