Help! I want to eat a more natural,unprocessed diet primarily of veggies and fruit.
Eggs and seafood are okay too as are nuts, but I don‟t want to be soaking nuts or
seeds for sprouting . I want to get my calcium from vegetable sources rather than
dairy and I want to cook my food as well rather than blend and eat everything raw. I
need some recipes and support for this lifestyle but I don‟t know where I fit in. The
raw recipes don‟t do it and the macrobiotic ones include soy protein, which I don‟t
want to eat either. Anyone know what I‟m looking for?

I do not know what you are looking for, but I can tell you that if you were to cut all
processed foods (including meat) out of your diet, you will feel a million times
healthier as long as you eat right.
I‟ve been a Vegetarian for five years. I lived off of processed imitation meats (two to
three meals a day had some form of “meat” in it). After cutting those out of my diet I
felt quite a bit healthier. Dropped the dairy and felt even healthier. I‟m nearly Vegan
now (Vegan in diet, but not quite in lifestyle yet) and feel loads healthier than I have
ever felt.

Today, stevia-derived sweeteners are made by extracting certain elements from the
herb and putting them into liquid or powdered form. Powdered stevia has incredibly
high potency and can substitute for sugar, in much smaller amounts, in many recipes,

Soy isnt that great for you iit was highly over rated and was just another item that
people went bonkers over
As far as raw foods go, I eat a lot of salads (make my own dressing [Vegenaise, soy
milk, and seasonings), smoothies (no milk, just fruits and water), a lot of sandwiches
(though the bread has been baked making this not technically raw, but raw, skinless
eggplant is great on sandwiches), hummus and veggies, … That‟s about it for raw. I
also eat a lot of pasta, though not raw.


Best of luck. Make sure you keep up the vitamin B12 levels if you give up meat. If
you eat fortified cereal, you should have no problems with that. Hopefully I was at

Brussel sprouts are a great vegetable to add to anyone‟s garden. They do well in a
variety of temperate climates, so regions where cold weather sets in, brussel sprouts
will do just fine.


They are a great source of many minerals and vitamins that the human body required,
meaning that adding them to your diet can satisfy many nutritional needs.


Here in this tutorial I give you some simple steps you can follow to increase the
harvest of these wonderfully nutritious vegetables right in your own backyard.


Start by preparing your site. If you are going to grow them in pots on your porch or
balcony make sure have a pot at least twelve inches deep with a diameter of ten inches
filled with garden soil available from any home or garden center. For the traditional
backyard garden, make sure you mix in plenty of compost or manure in the fall so the
soil is ready in the spring.


Get yourself a pH soil tester. They require soil to be less acidic so keep the soil pH
level under 7.
When the spring rolls around it is time to put the seeds in the ground. Brussel sprouts
(depending on the specific species) can take up to 100 days to reach maturity, so start
by growing them indoors and then transplant them when they are four to six weeks
old. Whether you start them indoors and transplant them or directly seed them into the
garden space them out every sixteen to eighteen inches.


They can grow in both warm temperatures but do better in cooler climates. So don‟t
be discouraged if you live in a warmer part of the world if your brussel sprouts don‟t
yield the same amount as your cooler climate growers. Just keep the soil evenly moist
and a top layer of well decomposed compost to give your brussel sprouts a fresh
supply of nutrients throughout the growing season.


Harvest them whenever the buds are firm, usually a half inch to one inch in size.


Many species of brussel sprouts will survive a few frosts, so keep harvesting until the
plant no longer produces anymore, which could go into very cooler temperatures.

from experience that there is no real difference between these two proteins. The only
time I would recommend paying the extra money for whey protein isolate would be if
you were lactose intolerant because whey protein isolate has much less lactose than
concentrate. If like most bodybuilders you consume a huge amount of protein each
month then it is not really economically viable to purchase the more expensive isolate
protein and it offers us very little benefit in terms of muscle growth.


In summary unless you are lactose intolerant do yourself and your wallet a favor by
sticking to whey protein concentrate. At the end of the day protein is just protein and
as long as you are getting enough from a wide variety of foods then you will continue
to gain muscle. Whenever possible I would recommend buying your protein in bulk
because you will save a small fortune. I live in the UK and generally buy all my
protein in bulk from MyProtein.co.uk. They allow you to buy bulk sports supplements
at substantial discounts. I have used them for a few years and they never let me down.
