What Health and Safety legislation might you need to consider in this project?

The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992
This regulation would suggest that when we are working on our recipe card we take a break after
every 90 minutes for at least 10 minutes. This will be very important as we will be working from our
display screens for a long period of time during our pre-production process.

Under domestic law (the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974)
This regulation would make sure we were working under suitable conditions in the kitchen. We would
have a well-ventilated room and make sure we have a working extractor fan when preparing our food
for the recipe cards. If this was not available we could open a door or window.

The Health and Safety (First-aid) Regulations 1981
Following his health and safety guideline will ensure that we have a first-aid kit near to our work
station. This first-aid kit will provide protection towards cuts that may have occurred during food
preparation when using knives.

Also in the first-aid kit will be a pocket mask. This will safely deliver rescue breaths during a cardiac
arrest or respiratory arrest. One of these could have occurred due to a lack of ventilation.
