1. How does your media product represent particular social
groups?
My magazine is aimed towards a young generation audience, which is reflected with
the bright colour scheme to create a bubbly lively look to the magazine and also the
use of photography within the magazine and the
featured stars are all of the same age group, with
my magazine being aimed towards a 17-30 age
range, the magazine will be heavily representing
the audience which will buy the magazine.
The magazine is also largely aimed towards a
female audience which is obvious with the female
cover star and the pink colour scheme being a
stereotypical feminine colour, which is the most
obvious aspect as to why this magazine fits that
female audience.
I have used within my magazine a range of people
of different ethnicities, who make up the chart;
which is influenced of people from a range of
different backgrounds.
2. Also my magazine has represented a middle class audience
heavily due to the use of language within the magazine and
also the clothes in which the cover star wears within the
Magazine with the cover star, Nicole, wearing a pink dress,
the dress represents the middle class audience as it is just a
standard dress nothing spectacular, but is more formal than
casual clothing, the pink colour scheme of the cover star’s
dress also once again fits in with the female audience in
which the magazine is largely aimed towards.
