Trócaire helps people who are sick to go to the hospital and to get
medicine. Trócaire also teaches people ways to look after themselves and
to stay healthy. Why is this so important?

Trócaire supports people in poor countries after a natural disaster or
emergency. Do you remember the earthquake in Haiti in 2010? Trócaire
provided support for the people whose homes were destroyed..

6. Trócaire works in a state called Odisha in India. Ambika lives in a small
village in Odisha. She is 9 years old.

8. Ambika helps her parents to grow food to eat. Ambika gets worried
when it does not rain because there is no water for the crops. Trócaire
has taught them ways to grow crops with less water.

9. Ambika loves school. In what ways is Ambika’s classroom the same, and

think going to school is so important?
