2. Introduction
TV remote jammer is a circuit which is
designed using Timer IC 555.
This project found its application in consumer
electronics.
Further project can be enhanced by using
powerful IR diodes such that it can be operated
from long distance.
It produces a constant signal that interferes with
the signal from a remote control and prevents the
TV detecting a channel.
3. WHAT IS A TV REMOTE JAMMER
A TV remote jammer is a device that blocks
transmissions by creating interference.
It emits signals in the same frequency range
which is used by TV , and within the range of
a jammer TV remote looses its control.
TV remote jammer is a circuit which will stop
TV being doing its working properly.
5. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Most of the TV remotes have 38KHz operating
frequency.
A flood of IR beams in the same frequency can easily
confuse the TV receiver and this is the operating
principle of our jammer.
The output of NE555 is amplified using a PNP
transistor SK100 to drive the IR LEDs
POT can be adjusted to exactly match the jammer’s
frequency to the remotes frequency. This adjustment is
very essential for effective jamming.
6. COMPONENT USED
IR LED
Diode
IC 555
Potentiometer
Battery
Resistor
Capacitor
8. IC 555 IN ASTABLE MODE
IC 555 Can be programmed in three different modes
i.e monostable,astable and bistable.
In astable mode, the output from the 555 timer is a
continuous pulse waveform of a specific frequency.
Its output that depends on the values of the two
resistors and capacitor .
An astable multivibrator, often called a free-
running multivibrator, is a rectangular wave
generating circuit
9. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES
Advantages:
1. We can use this circuit to jam the remote signals so
that the other people cannot change the channel while
watching our favorite program on TV.
2.It will not affect the signal receiving capacity of the TV.
DISADVANTAGES:
The circuit should be tuned correctly to 38 KHz
frequency to get accurate result.
10. APPLICATION
It jams TV on single channel. so that there would
not be any type of interruption while watching the
TV.
It also blocks the volume of TV, to avoid any type
of irritation. And also noise pollution due to very
loud Volume.
By some modification, it can also be used to jam
the Music system, A.C. and many other device.
11. Conclusion
TV remote jammer circuits have both advantages and
disadvantages, these can be considered as good and
bad both depending on the signal intended to be
jammed. Simple jammer circuits can be pretty easily
constructed; however subtle circuit can be made for
higher requirements.
