1. Nickleback Rockstar girls drugs alcohol musical instruments
In the videos we see a stereotypical build up of a rock music video. There are
arguably a vast amount of “attractive” girls half naked, drugs such as marijuana
and of course expensive and aesthetically appealing musical instruments which
demonstrate the dream of becoming a rock star and the rewards the come along
with it.

Here Wealdstone based rapper 6ix has been very clever in using a line from a much
more established Canadian rapper Drake embedded into his verse. It highlights a
low-key feud between the two. The intertextual reference here is positioned
beautifully within 6ix’s verse making it so successful as it does not break the flow of
the song, but in fact further emphasises the line, when the beat mutes for 4 seconds.
