Redirect Your Nameservers For New Bloggers
1. Step By Step Video Tips On How To Redirect Your
Nameservers For New Bloggers
You should have your domain
name and your web host and
now need to redirect your
Nameservers to point towards
your host company site.
I know what you're thinking,
Nameservers? What are they
and where do I find them!
Let's first cover just what Nameservers are. A Nameserver is a record that points your domain
name to the server where you are going to host your blog/website. So in other words you are
going to be pointing your domain name to your host company.
You will receive a welcome letter from your host company and it will have the Nameservers you
need to use to redirect your domain name to your host site. Here is an example of what
Nameservers look like ns2045.hostgator.com and ns2046.hostgator.com.
If by chance you did not get your welcome letter or you accidently deleted it don't panic, just
email your host company and let them know and they will resend it to you.
It will take a few minutes after you redirect your Nameservers to your host company to take
effect and actually point to your host company.
2. Now I know this really looks a bit techie but don't worry as long as you can cut and paste you
will do just great. You can cut and paste the Nameservers into the area needed so you don't have
to worry about entering a wrong number or letters.
