This document summarizes two projects carried out by students at a Lower Secondary School in Krzeszow, Poland to promote English language learning. The first project created an English language website and Facebook page to provide students vocabulary, quizzes, cultural information and photos related to British festivals. An English contest was held with results posted on the website. The second project addressed low knowledge of everyday English words by students. For a month, vocabulary words were distributed daily for students to learn and translate. This culminated in an English word and culture competition with information posted on the first project's website. Winners received prizes.

 The project “Teenagers in action” was carried out by a group of
students participating in Youngster classes.
We decided to set up our own English website so that, all
students of the Lower Secondary School in Krzeszow could learn
new vocabulary and broaden their knowledge of the British
culture. We realize that there are so many English websites, but
we wanted to encourage our friends to learn English in an
unusual way.
During the project we were putting interesting information
related to British popular festivals, quizzes and photos. Besides
the website, it was also conducted a Fanpage on the
Facebook. The main aim, was to motivate the school
community to use the resources of the Internet, but not only for
amusement. To summarize the project, we arranged an English
contest. The results were put on the website: www.en-
zskrzeszow.cba.pl and the winners will receive prizes and
diplomas prepared by us.

6. In our classes, we focused especially on
the culture of English-speaking countries.
We discussed Valentine's Day, St.
Patrick's Day, famous places and history
of the city of London. Our action has
always been summarized by preparing
decoration and a school newspaper.

 One of problems in our school was our students’ low
knowledge of English words useful in everyday life. In
order to solve the problem we decided to encourage
our friends to learn new words. Every day we
distributed pieces of paper on which there were two
words. Our friends had to translate and learn the
words. The project lasted for a month. Its result was a
competition of the words and cultural information
about English – speaking countries. The information
was placed on the website created by our friends from
the other project group - www.en-zskrzeszow.cba.pl.
The competition took place on March, 12th. All present
that day students took part in it. The winners were
announced on the website. They will get special prizes.
