1. "Fashion fades, Style is eternal.
Never under estimate style."
This (GETTING STARTED) 2 hr run through of quick tips on how to present yourself in
what to wear and how to wear it with confidence. We shall talk about in the office, out of
the office, leisure time, attending office functions, evenings out with your co workers,
attending a special event etc etc.
How you look and present yourself as a team can deliver persuasive and influential
presentations to every parent who walks in to the office to enroll their child into your
school and have confidence that your class programs (team of professionals) are ones
that must be taken seriously for the benefits that you will give their children is something
you all take great pride and effort to make sure this is the place and you are the ppl to
make it happen.
(GETTING STARTED) Looking good and feeling good. Learning how appearance and how
extra 30min in the morning can change you entirely and how important it is in a highly
and practical business focused point of view. The participants in this class will learn the
fundamentals of making powerful statement and persuasive and influential business just
by slowly (GETTING STARTED) on how to walk the walk. You may be able to talk the talk
but are you able to look and appear as good as you say you are? It takes more then just
fundamental knowledge and speaking skills of what the company can provide to your
clients. Professional looking team working for the same company should look like they
all blend in as one. Let’s look at everyone in this class today and see if we feel like they
all look more or less like a team.
The fundamentals of communications come not only through body language and
what you say or do…what you appear to others in a overall appearance takes a
strong role in communication.
2. What Corporate Style of Dressing Can Do and Not Do?
• People receive and interpret information about you and who you are when it
comes down to work.
• Recognizing ''where people listen from!'' and if they are listening or just half
listening or maybe not even listening or taking what comes out of your seriously.
• Recognizing the need to be able to take on each case and manage it to suit every
individual personal needs inquiry. .
• Learn to dress for the different occasions, look your part for ppl to really hear
you. (do not overdress your part or under dress)
• How you look shows how much you care about yourself and your work as a team/
the company. This is your preferences in communicating to others through who
looks at you and who listens to you.
(The Group) Getting in- style mentally:
• Accepting new ideas and using them into your daily routine.
• Confronting the negative, Admitting to the insecurities, See where to improve,
Seeing the beauty in others, Speaking out: to become straight out truthful to what
you dislike about someone else’s way of style and brainstorm together on what
we can do to improve each individual person in the group and in their appearance.
We may become a bitchy group of demons in this 2hr class but at the end trusting
each other and helping each other we will surely be able to make everyone
(GETTING STARTED) to looking their best. Learning to dress for the occasion.
3. Overcoming the ''But I can’t act'' syndrome!
• Showing off your best assets when dressing
• Knowing what is in style for the up coming A/W looks and seeing fashion trends
of the spring summer fashion. Have everyone play with mix and match. Find
looks that you can diy and wear it to work in class.
• Learning to accept your body and how you look.
• Making effort to be more versatile and learning that change is good!
• 2 min each, 2 dressing up with a draw of a number. Two against two on what look
good and what not. Having a dress up party and letting everyone else be the
judge!
• Before and after looks, let us men in the class take their votes.
• (We will have the men in the class take their votes) holding up signs from (1-10).
• Girls in the class having signs that say ((Keep It), (Throw It), (Give It) just like
the way they played this game in “ sex in the city” Those who hold up “ keep it”
means that they find that what was mixed and matched on the person looks good.
Those who hold up the signs that say “throw it” means that it was a terrible choice
and the person wearing it looks awful. Those who hold up the sign (Give it)
means they want to wear that outfit and believe they can wear it better. We will
have dual off to those confident that they can wear it better…who ever wins gets
to keep the outfit. (tbc)
Attending a Business Event or Party:
• Powerful presentations come from when you walk in through that door and when
you leave. What happens in between will determine on your exit. Meaning the
final results will be seen and remembered through how you make that outfit work
on you throughout that evening. Not the other way around.
4. Getting ready .What’s the big deal? Why bother if you look good already?
• Who’s your audience?
• What’s the budget?
• Addressing the ''Is it worth the investment question?''
• Back to earth and ''destruction testing'' the concept for real effects
• Applying the power of simplicity
• Being professional and stunning
Wrapping It Up:
Everyone in the class will be given a chance to pick 1 item that they really like from
buffet of items set out on the tables. Also a small booklet of photos and tips on the up
coming trends and style of clothing that they can prepare or try to find in their closets at
home and diy mix and in (GETTING STARTED) .
