and the Mission of Jesus
and the Mission of the Second Coming.
2. Viktor Emil Frankl (26 March 1905 – 2 September 1997)
[
was an Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist as well as a
Holocaust survivor.
Frankl was the founder of logotherapy, which is a form
of existential analysis, the "Third Viennese School
of Psychotherapy".
His best-selling book Man's Search for Meaning
From Death-Camp to Existentialism.
3. Ein Psychologe erlebt das Konzentrationslager, meaning
Nevertheless, Say "Yes" to Life:
A Psychologist Experiences the Concentration Camp)
chronicles his experiences as a concentration camp inmate,
which led him to discover
the importance of finding meaning in all forms of existence,
even the most brutal ones, and thus, a reason to continue
living.
Frankl became one of the key figures in existential therapy and
a prominent source of inspiration for humanistic psychologists.
4. Freedom, however, is not the last word.
Freedom is only part of the story and half of the truth.
Freedom is but the negative aspect of the whole phenomenon
whose positive aspect is responsibleness.
In fact, freedom is in danger of degenerating into mere
arbitrariness unless it is lived in terms of responsibleness.
That is why I recommend that the Statue of Liberty on the
East Coast be supplemented by a Statue of Responsibility
on the West Coast
5. Comment: Compare with DP explanation of Human
Responsibility for Sin and Redemption!
Then, to what degree and to what extent would God
predetermine the accomplishment of the will?
God's will to accomplish the purpose of the providence of
restoration is absolute,
but the accomplishment of the will is relative.
(I.e. Adam/Eve, Cain/Abel, Noah, Abraham, Isaac,Esau-Jakob, Moses John the B. …)
6. So, it is predetermined that the will is to be accomplished,
but only through God's 95 percent responsibility
and man's 5 percent responsibility combined.
Indicating the proportion of man's responsibility as 5 percent is
only to say that man's responsibility is extremely small
compared to God's. Nevertheless, we must understand that,
for man, it means 100 percent effort. /DP73
7. Although God’s Will of the providence of restoration is
absolute and beyond human influence, its fulfillment
necessarily requires the accomplishment of the human
portion of responsibility (p. 156).

13. Viktor Frankl on Reframing Suffering
Frankl was an Austrian psychiatrist who was imprisoned by the
Nazis in 1944 because of his Jewish pedigree. After being
released, Frankl described his three years in the concentration
camps in Man’s Search For Meaning.
The book does not make for comfortable reading since Frankl
chronicles the torments of mind, body and spirit that he and
the other prisoners had to endure.
14. But what intrigued me was when Frankl eloquently
described how suffering enabled him and the other
prisoners to understand what was truly important in life,
and thus to be grateful for things that the rest of us take
for granted.
Frankl described how conditions of extreme deprivation
and cruelty enabled the prisoners to attain incredibly high
levels of gratitude for tiny things, such as a colorful sunset
or memories of family and loved ones.
“We were grateful for the smallest of mercies”, he recalled.
15. Despite the unimaginably difficult circumstances he had
to endure, Frankl found that it was possible to reframe his
suffering in positive terms even at the time.
Not everyone could do this, for many prisoners lost hope
and gave up on life; however for those who clung to their
spiritual integrity, it was possible to realize high levels of
spiritual freedom and purpose even in the midst of so
much deprivation, darkness and death.
16. “Often it is just such an exceptionally difficult external situation
which gives man the opportunity to grow spiritually beyond
himself”, he wrote in his memoirs.
“The way in which a man accepts his fate and all the suffering
it entails, the way in which he takes up his cross, gives him
ample opportunity — even under the most difficult
circumstances — to add a deeper meaning to his life.”

I have already proclaimed that
January 13, 2013 (Moon Cal.)
= February 22, 2013 (Solar Calendar)
will be “Foundation Day.”
That day will be the actual
beginning of God’s Kingdom of Cheon Il Guk.
71. Final
Prophecy
for 2013
Therefore, it is time for all people to be humbly obedient to
Heaven’s decree. An unavoidable time is upon us today
when we must invest ourselves completely with a life or
death commitment for these remaining three years under
the guidance of the True Parents who carry out the
providence on earth as
the substantial representatives of God, the King of Kings.
All the good spirits in the spirit world are mobilized and are
already moving forward, a step ahead of you.
73. I am working hard to send my anointed representatives
to all nations.
The era in which they live is one in which
mistakes such as that of John the Baptist
will never be repeated.
Unlike Jesus, whose time ended abruptly through his going
the way of the cross, I surely will complete the restoration
of God's homeland on this earth, as I have received
Heaven's seal as the King of Peace.
74. With God and the King of Peace as the central axis,
I shall lead the anointed representatives sent throughout
the world and so create the original ideal kingdom of
everlasting peace.

Aju = "My Lord" in Chinese characters.
"Amen" means "truth" in Hebrew. "Aju" means "My Lord" in Chinese characters. Instead of "Amen", in the Unification Church, we say "Aju" because every time we hear something very powerful, then we proclaim and we lift up God.
