2. Diegetic sound
Sound that dissipates (comes from) the scene
like ambient radios, conversations and general
noise in the background.
3. Non-diegetic sound
Sound that is artificial, put in post production.
An example is the music soundtrack or the
narrator.
4. Crescendo, Diminuendo and Sforzando
Crescendo – A build up of music usually to
emphasise a threat nearby or if something is
about to happen.
Diminuendo – The ‘dying’ point of the music
mainly when the threat has ended.
Sforzando – A short, sharp and loud noise used
to imply and reveal a fear.
