Socialoomph Auto follow and auto DM Helps save time and ensures that people who are interested in following you also have a link to your products and services or blog.  Whether auto follow is OK or not?  Yes if you Vet them before or after? Alright to DM or not - if you're adding value then yes? Add value to the person following you.  Ask them to introduce themselves....? Helps increase the number of followers - because they'll know they can probably almost guarantee a follow back. People like to be followed back if you don't sometimes they'll unfollow. Rotate the direct message - so it's not the same all of the time.
