3. Sample Job Description: The Librarian provides reference service to patrons in person, on the phone, and via email approximately 15-20 hours per week. Develops reading, reference, and research materials through selection and purchase of books, materials, and equipment. Promotes interest in library as a community resource by teaching workshops in our computer lab and off-site. Assists the systems librarian in the maintenance of the computer lab computers through basic troubleshooting and software updates. Plans and organizes displays and programs involving the use of library resources. Participates in the updating of the library website and social media sites. Provides training and supervision to volunteer staff.
