Daniel Chapters 10-12

2. These last three chapters serve three purposes To Show that God is in control of every situation. To Show the Tribulation to the Jews. To Show ultimate victory and restoration of God’s People.

3. Structure The vision of the glory of God (10:1-21) From Darius to the man of sin (11:1-20) The "little horn" of Daniel 8: Antiochus Epiphanes (11:21-35) The end-time. The "little horn" of Daniel 7 (11:36-45) The great tribulation (12:1) The Resurrections (12:2-3) The last message to Daniel (12:4-13)

4. The Vision of the Glory of God- Daniel 10:1-21 Notice the Vision Comes when he is fasting. v.1-3 When we are in tune with God through prayer and fasting, He will answer us. Joel 2:12 brought about Joel 2:28 The Lord Shows up in a vision v. 4-9 Notice the correlation to Revelation 1:12-16 Spiritual Warfare begins to take place v.10-21 Compare this to Revelation 2-3 with the Seven Churches

5. From Darius to the Man of Sin 11:1-20 This is basically a review of the previous visions up to this point Sounds like previous visions of Daniel 2 and 4

7. The Little Horn of Daniel 8- Antiochus Epiphanes 11:21-35 We have already met this wicked man (8:9-14) who in his character and activities is a picture of the future Antichrist.

8. The Little Horn of Daniel 8- Antiochus Epiphanes 11:21-35 According to verses 33-35, there was a small group of faithful Jews who opposed the godlessness of Antiochus and trusted God to enable them to fight back. A Jewish priest named Mattathias, with his five sons, gathered an army and were able to fight back. His son Judas, nicknamed Maccabeus ("the hammerer"), was one of the heroes of this revolt. On December 14, 165, the temple was purified and the altar dedicated. (See Daniel 8:9-14, 23-25.) The Jews celebrate this occasion annually as the Feast of Lights (Hanukkah).

9. The End Times- The Little Horn of Daniel 7- 11:36-45 Verse 36- Speak against the God of Gods- The Babylonian Term of Nebuchadnezzer- Notice Revelation 17:1-3 Verse 37- Notice 2 things that are mentioned- Doesn’t regard the God of his fathers- Abraham- Jehovah, Nor women- Women viewed as property

12. It is the fact women are not property but created by God to be a helpmate for man

14. The End Times- The Little Horn of Daniel 7- 11:36-45 Verse 39-46 When Antichrist moves into the land of Israel and sets up his image in the Jewish temple and declares himself the ruler and god of the whole world, not everybody will bow down to his will. He comes to power through war and is destroyed by war. These verses begin to set the stage for the Battle of Armageddon in Revelation 16:12-16, 19:11-21

15. The Tribulation and Resurrection 12:1-3 At that time v.1 Refers to the Tribulation period mentioned in the previous chapter Resurrections This refers to Revelation 20

16. Signs of the Times- Revelation 12:4-13 Technology and Knowledge increase v.4 Re-gathering of Israel v. 7 Salvation for those who want it- v.8 The Antichrist and His kingdom- v.9-13
