Our Area Churches for their presence, leadership and participation in
our community. They are represented by their respective pastors.
BLUE MOUND UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
is located on the corner of College
and Lincoln Streets in Blue Mound.
This church was formed around
1870. The Reverend Randy Myers
began as pastor of this church in
July of this year.
ZION CHAPEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
is located one mile west of Boody.
This church was formed in 1855.
The Reverend Sally Hamon has
been the pastor since 2005.
FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF BLUE MOUND
is located on the corner of Lewis
and Seiberling streets in Blue
Mound. This church was formed in
1860. The Reverend Doctor Ellen
Moma has been the pastor since
1998.
MERIDIAN CHURCH OF GOD
is located on the corner of Lewis
and Burgees streets in Blue Mound.
This church was formed in 1989.
The Reverend Greg Mathias has
been the pastor since 2003.
BETHEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
is located two miles northeast of Blue
Mound just off Route 48. This church
was formed in 1870. The Reverend

Little Miss
Girls between the ages of 6-9 years old will answer one
question on stage to help the judges get to know them better.
Girls should wear a favorite summer dress. A first runner up
will be chosen and awarded a trophy. One winner will receive a
trophy and tiara!
Junior Miss
Girls between the ages of 10-14 years old will also answer a
question on stage and should wear her “Sunday best.” (No
formals please.) A first runner up will be chosen and awarded a
trophy. Our newly crowned Jr. Miss will receive a tiara, sash, and
trophy.
Miss Blue Mound Fall Festival
Young ladies between the ages of 15-19 will have a brief stage
interview and model formal attire. (Another opportunity to
wear your homecoming or prom dress!) A beautiful tiara, sash,
trophy and cash scholarship will be awarded to the 2011 Miss
Fall Festival.

Commercial Floats
1. Any type of vehicle or animal may be entered.
2. If a towing vehicle is used as a means of moving the float,
it will not be judged as part of the float and need not be
decorated.
3. If any entry is self-propelled, such as a truck, it will be
judged the same as a float.
4. Advertising should be of good taste and placed so as not to
interfere with the view of the float.
5. No ATV’s or motorcycles with non-licensed drivers will be
allowed.
Non-Profit Floats
The same rules apply to non-profit organization floats as for
commercial floats, except no advertising may be visible on
the float itself. The name of the owner is not considered as
advertising in the case of a privately-owned vehicle, such as
farm vehicles.
Parade Judging Criteria
PARADE THEME: (50%)
How well the design concept in the entry adapts to the parade
theme.
ORIGINALITY: (25%)
The creativeness and uniqueness of the entry.
DESIGN: (25%)
The craftsmanship in the entry. Detail in design and creation
with the effective use of colors and materials.

No parking will be allowed on the parade route from
10:00 am until 1:00 pm. High Street between St. Marie Street
and Lewis Street will be closed 1 hour before parade lineup and
during the parade.
Parade participants should use the St. Marie Street entrance for
the Meridian Middle School. The Lewis Street entrance to the
school will be closed 1 hour before parade line-up.
