3. INNER SENSE OF GOD
ROMANS 1:18-21
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and
unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For
what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to
them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature,
have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things
that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God,
they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in
their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
4. EVIDENCE OF GOD IN SCRIPTURE AND NATURE
The Bible Begins and Ends Affirming The Existence of God
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)
I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone
adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if
anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take
away his share in the tree of life and in he holy city, which are described in this
book. He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen.
Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
(Revelation 22:18-21)
5. EVIDENCE OF GOD IN SCRIPTURE AND NATURE
Nature Speaks To God’s Existence
“Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men, of like nature with you,
and we bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to a
living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in
them. In past generations he allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.
Yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good by giving you rains
from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.”
Even with these words they scarcely restrained the people from offering sacrifice
to them.(Acts 14:15-18)
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have
been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that
have been made. So they are without excuse. (Romans 1:20)
