Mr. Dan Snipes, Assistant Principal
1. Mr. Snipes is originally from Rockmart, Georgia. Mr. Snipes
came to the Cherokee County School District in 2006 as a
Social Studies teacher and is beginning his seventh year in Cher-
okee County. During that span Mr. Snipes has served in various
roles such as a department chair, Advanced Placement teacher,
Instructional Team leader, and assistant coach in fast-pitch
softball and baseball as a staff member of Cherokee High
School. As an assistant coach Mr. Snipes had the pleasure of
working with a state runner up team in 2008. Mr. Snipes has
served in various leadership roles as a teacher-leader prior to
becoming an assistant principal.
Mr. Snipes has received his undergraduate degree from Kenne-
saw State University in Social Science Education in 2006. He
received his Master’s Degree in 2008 and Specialist Degree in
2011 in Educational Leadership and is currently completing his
studies in the Doctoral Program for Educational Leadership at
Kennesaw State University.
Mr. Snipes has a varied background that extends into the public
and private sectors. Mr. Snipes proudly served our nation as a
United States Marine. He has also spent over eight years in the
private sector here in Georgia. Mr. Snipes worked for a large
Delta contractor as a manager. Mr. Snipes has served in a varie-

Mr. Snipes will be serving Etowah High School as the Career Technical and Agricultural Education ad-
ministrator. Mr. Snipes will also supervise student organizations and clubs, social events and community
interactions, and will be the administrator for the 10th
grade. Mr. Snipes is honored to serve the
Etowah community and is ready for a great 2012-2013 school year.
