5. shaul Though Shaul was an amazing king on many levels he failed to realize when Hashem decided that his time as king was up and refused to release his hold on the thrown. On multiple occasions, he attempted to kill David. One incident is when he invited David to a party, and if it weren't for Shaul’s son, David would have been killed. Another example of Shaul’sparanoia is when David was playing the harp forShaul and Shaul threw a spear at him. All of these are examples of how a king can become mad with power. 7. Shlomo Though is defined as one of the best kings Israel has ever seen, he too had major faults. Shlomo had way too many wives which in the end, drove him to build a temple of idol worship upon a hill facing Jerusalem. He also had many horses, which is strictly forbidden in the Torah. Shlomo is essentially the perfect proof to the argument of bad kings. His example shows that even the best can fall, and if Shlomo can fall, why cant any normal king? 9. Yerovam Yerovam built a fake Holy Temple in order to trick the Jewish people into sinning. No matter how many times Elijah told the people that they were doing the wrong thing, their belief was too strong in there fake gods. 11. King George iii King George neglected his subjects for a long period of time. Suddenly, he imposed unjust tax’s on the American Colonists, purely for the his own gain. This is blatant taxation without representation. The colonists in response to this decided to revolutionize and rebel against the king.
