"Although discretionary, the adoption of technology is
unavoidable."
"Technology is an essential facilitator of effectiveness
and productivity in academic programs, administrative
operations, and constituent communications."
"MVS is making very good progress in its technology
evolution."

Important Elements of the Plan's Solution:
• laptops for faculty and staff, with remote access (2011)
• movable laptop cart for classroom use (2003-2005)
• student-owned laptops for classroom use encouraged for MS / US
• expanded wifi network around campus (2007)
• upgraded servers as growth dictates (2008)
• computer projectors for rooms that need them (2012)
• software licenses as needed (2008)
• new Help Center room
• added IT Technician
• "Student Helpers" group (2005)
• formalized teacher technology training
• new permanent Board Technology Committee to lead and oversee Tech
Plan implementation and to keep the Plan "always current"
