A man and woman were splitting wood all day. That evening, noticing that her pile was much larger
than his, he said “How could that be? You took breaks while I worked continuously from dawn to
dusk.” She responded, “What you didn’t see was that during every break, I was sharpening my saw.”

Trying to keep up with the breakneck pace of life in our demanding 24/7 world is exhausting. Employers,
employees, committees, spouses, children, e-mails, texts, phone calls, meetings, projects, problems, and
opportunities can run us ragged. It seems as though we have no choice but to keep running at light speed.

But wait. What about sharpening the saw? Must we run nonstop until we collapse exhausted? No, we don’t. So
let’s find a better way: Join me to explore how to work with energy and go home with energy too. Come to
Table Talk for introspection, inspiration, and integration around “Being Successful without Being Exhausted.”

Stop running through life exhausted. o Take the time when you don’t have the time
Don’t miss this opportunity to sharpen o Re-boot before your system collapses
your saw and examine how you can o Make your spirit smile

I am your local resource with national and international experience. I love
stirring others toward personal and organizational excellence and am good at it.
I am a coach, facilitator, trainer, and speaker. My work has taken me to 27 states,
Mexico, Canada, and Romania; and I have had 42 articles published in ten
                       professional trade journals.
Barbara Wirtz, M.Ed. Those who know me know that I work with enormous energy myself and bring it
out in others. To me, it’s great fun to see people have their own “aha’s” and
“take aways” to make their lives easier. If you are up for a little saw sharpening
about success without exhaustion, please join me for Table Talk on March 19.
