2. WHAT IS CYBERBULLYING?
Cyberbullying is any form of insult or harassment directed at
another through a digital platform.
Such as:
Computer
Chatrooms
Social Media
Blogs
Mobile
Text messaging
Other social platforms available
3. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY SOCIAL MEDIA?
Anything with a
format like:
• Facebook
• Twitter
• Pinterest
• YouTube
• Any of these and
more!
5. TALK TO SOMEONE
Talk to a trusted adult, parent or teacher. Just
let someone know what is going on, don’t keep
it all bottled up inside. If you wait to tell
someone, the situation could escalate quickly.
6. IGNORE THE BULLY
Bullies thrive off of a response from a victim.
If you leave the situation alone, most bullies will
give up on bothering you. Don’t try to win out in
an online chat battle. Emotions are
misunderstood, and often the situation
worsens!
7. SAVE THE EVIDENCE
This is very important when trying to stop a
cyber bully. There must be proof that they were
doing something wrong. Print out the posts and
evidence and show them to a trusted adult.
8. NEVER PASS ALONG MESSAGES FROM BULLIES
If you receive something hurtful about
someone else. DELETE IT. Let your
friends know that you don’t think
cyberbullying is cool and you want
nothing to do with it. Start a movement,
and let everyone know that putting down
someone is not a means to popularity
and prestige. It’s just cruel and mean.
