12. USA
The USA is full of adventure, made even more enjoyable by the traditional
American hospitality you’ll be greeted with along the way. With a reputation
for being the land of ‘super-sized,’ the large open roads offer a warm
welcome that feels familiar but excitingly foreign at the same time.
There’s so much to do in western America. Take a trip
along California’s orange groves, embrace the glitz of
Hollywood, or leave your heart in San Francisco.
Take in the dazzling lights of Las Vegas, where glamour
and extravagance reign, or perhaps indulge in a luxury spa
and sample fine cuisine by world-renowned chefs.
Out of the cities you can marvel at the vastness of the Grand
Canyon, or soak up the sheer wonder of the Yosemite National
Park with the world’s largest redwood trees, before making
your own iconic road trip along the legendary Route 66.
In the east you can wonder at New England in the falls, as the vibrant
autumnal foliage lines your way through the Catskill Mountains. Stop off in
the bustling metropolis of New York or Boston or Washington DC for real city
treats, or get up close and feel the spray of the falls at thundering Niagara.
DRIVING IN AMERICA
America has an excellent highway system making it easier to
cross vast distances from state to state. You’ll drive on the right,
but find it comes easily as there are no roundabouts.

18. OUR MOTORHOMES – USA
Whilst you can hire smaller RV’s, motorhomes in the USA are generally known for being
big. But don’t be put off by size, they all have automatic transmission and are designed
for cruising, so embrace the USA and choose the biggest motorhome you can afford.
As the roads are built for the larger vehicle, you’ll soon settle right in and will
appreciate the extra room.
Below are details of our most popular motorhome partners we use in the USA. All offer
one-way rentals although there is usually a charge for this. Each rental package will
include an inclusive mileage allowance, along with kitchen and personal kits as standard.
CRUISE AMERICA
Cruise America has rental depots spread across the United States
including Alaska. With entry level prices it offers three types of
vehicle: The 19ft compact, along with two standard models at 25ft
and 30ft. Airport transfers are available with early bird bookings.
EL MONTE RV
El Monte has 15 rental depots spread across America in all the major
gateways. It offers a range of vehicles starting at 22ft, moving up to
25ft, 28ft and 31ft units with slideouts, all the way up to their A-Class
motorhome. Complementary airport transfers are offered as standard.
APOLLO RV
Apollo has rental depots in four of America’s western gateways. Vehicles
include a 22ft compact 2-berth Tourer, a 22ft or 25ft 5-berth unit, two
versions of their 27ft vehicle and a 31ft Elite Traveller - the largest vehicle
in their range. Airport transfers are not offered.
Apollo also has a sister brand, Star RV, providing
premium grade motorhomes and service.
ROAD BEAR RV
Road Bear has rental depots in five cities. They offer top of the range
motorhomes and pride themselves on the quality of their vehicles.
There are five different vehicle types ranging from a 23ft C-class
model all the way to a 32ft A-Class model. Complementary transfers
to the airport and nearby hotels are offered as standard.
Our Travel Specialists will be happy to help you select the right
vehicle for your needs; you can also visit our website for more

28. OUR MOTORHOMES – CANADA
Canada is a big country with big roads, so it goes without saying that ‘big is best’ when it
comes to picking the size of your motorhome too, especially for comfort if you are going
on a longer trip. Most have automatic transmission and because of the nature of Canadian
roads, there may be restrictions for driving on certain road types. This is standard practise
when hiring a vehicle in Canada and will be explained thoroughly at pick up.
Below are details of our most popular motorhome partners we use in Canada.
All offer one-way rentals although there is usually a charge for this.
CRUISE CANADA
Cruise Canada has depots across Canada. With entry level
prices, it offers three types of vehicle: the 19ft compact, 23ft
to 25ft standard models and 28ft to 30ft larger models. Airport
transfers are often available with early bird bookings.
FRASERWAY
Fraserway has depots in Vancouver, Calgary, Whitehorse, Toronto and
Halifax. They pride themselves on the quality of their vehicles and high
service levels. Their vehicle range includes entry level truck campers,
van conversions and a selection of traditional RVs in 19ft, 22ft, 24ft
and 29ft/31ft options. Airport transfers are included as standard.
WESTCOAST MOUNTAIN CAMPERS
Westcoast Mountain Campers is a smaller family business with
depots in Calgary and Vancouver. It offers a range of vehicles from
truck campers and van conversions to various sized traditional RVs.
Transfers are offered to airports and to downtown hotels.
CANADREAM
CanaDream has depots across Canada and provide quality vehicles
ranging from truck campers, compact and superior van conversions,
to various sizes of motorhomes. Transfers are provided from
selected hotels.
Our Travel Specialists will be happy to help you select the right
vehicle for your needs; you can also visit our website for more
information on our other motorhome partners and vehicle layouts.
VANCOUVER SPECIAL OFFER

discount off normal rates at the Burnaby Cariboo RV Park. With great facilities
it’s an ideal base for your first night’s stay while you’re exploring Vancouver –

29. TOTALLY TAILORED

tailor-made service provides the perfect solution. We want you
to have an unforgettable time, so to help you with creating your
trip we’ve put together a selection of example routes taking in
the best of this fabulous country.
BE INSPIRED
If you’re looking for ideas, then our suggested routes, including
group tour routes, are a great starting point. Simply tailor them to
your requirements by adding or removing any locations you want to
include or leave out – there are lots of additional places to see along
the way, as well as pre-bookable excursions and stopovers to make
your trip completely unique.
See the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies, or explore breathtaking
Alberta. Experience the city life in Vancouver, or the Pacific coast
and Vancouver Island. Join in the fun of the Calgary Stampede,
or take in the British influences that are evident in Nova Scotia,
before taking time out to appreciate the natural wonder of
Niagara Falls – the choice is yours!

inaccessible channels, watching out for whales and dolphins
along the way.

38. OUR MOTORHOMES
– SOUTHERN AFRICA
Motorhomes in Southern Africa tend to be hand-made and built
to last on some of the more rural roads. If you’re looking to spend
time off road we can also arrange a four-wheel drive vehicle so
you can really get out and explore. Below are details of our most
popular motorhome partner that we use in Southern Africa.
ABOUT BOBO CAMPERS
Bobo Campers are a well-established motorhome hire
company, with a selection of vehicles no more than
three years old. You can choose from 4-berth and 6-berth
motorhomes, along with a range of four-wheel drive
units for those wanting to get off the beaten track.
Bobo also offer a campsite booking service so
we can pre-book all your campsites.
Each motorhome is built at Bobo’s own factory in
South Africa, which means the design benefits from
first-hand understanding of the countries terrain.
PICK UP POINTS
You can pick up from their depots in Johannesburg or
Cape Town in South Africa or Windhoek in Namibia.
Airport transfers to and from the depot, plus luggage
storage for those picking up and returning to the same
location, are all part of the service.
On collection, you’ll be given a comprehensive
information pack, containing campsite directories, a
handbook for your vehicle and a map book, along with a
thorough briefing on how the motorhome works as part
of their start-up service.
Our Travel Specialists will be happy to help you select
the right vehicle for your needs; you can also visit our
website for more information on our other motorhome
partners and vehicle layouts.

39. TOTALLY TAILORED
If you’d prefer to plan your own holiday to Southern Africa, then
our tailor-made service provides the perfect solution. We want
you to have an unforgettable time, so to help you with creating
your trip we’ve put together a selection of example routes to
give you inspiration.
BE INSPIRED
If you’re looking for ideas, then our suggested routes, including
group tour routes, are a great starting point. Simply tailor them to
your requirements by adding or removing any locations you want
to include or leave out – there are lots of additional places to see
along the way, as well as pre-bookable excursions to make your trip
completely unique.
You can fly up from Johannesburg to visit Victoria Falls, or join
a guided tour of Cape Town. Take a cable car to the top of Table
Mountain, or a boat trip to Robben Island, known in history as
the place where Nelson Mandela spent many of his 27 years’
imprisonment – the choice is yours!

Whether you like to gather inspiration on your own, or prefer advice
right from the start, our Travel Specialists are on hand to provide
you with your own personalised quote, tailored exactly to your
needs. Whatever you’re looking for, be it flights only, motorhome
