The program is designed to assist military Families in gaining knowledge on employment opportunities in the Fort Drum area to include referrals, current job announcements, resume consultations and various employment related workshops. Other workshops conducted by ERP are: Interviewing skills, Federal Employment, Job Search Skills and Teen Employment. ERP also offers one on one consults with clients. 10 tip for a terrific resume Always make sure your final resume looks good, you want it to be attractive to the eye and easy to read. You also want to make sure it is professional looking. Target your resume for each job you are applying for, you will want to focus on your skills that best match the job opening, read the position information and make sure your resume shows you are able to do the job!! Highlight accomplishments, no your not bragging, you are showing a potential employer you CAN do the job and have had accomplishments in the past they want to know that they are hiring someone who is willing to work hard and go above and beyond! Put as many key words into your resume as you can, be creative! Again read over the job posting and gear your resume that job, it may take time but it will be worth it when you land your dream job! If the employer ask the resume to be faxed, mailed, e-mail do so! Make sure you follow up to insure they received your paperwork. Proofread, you can never proofread it to many times, also ask others to read it over for you, better safe then sorry!! Remember this is representing you, you want it to look the best it can! Do not lie on you resume, make sure you are truthful, the truth will come out at some point! Make it your own, the bottom line is this is YOUR resume, you have to love it and be happy of it, but keep it professional!
