It's that time of year again for ACP's (Asian Commercial Professionals) annual student scholarship opportunities. There are two scholarships to be awarded to Asian-Americans students and recent B.A. graduates or working professionals: 1) $1,000: High school graduating senior thru college or in a certified apprenticeship program studying engineering, architecture, or one of its related fields such as in the building trades 2) $2,500: Employed individuals in the commercial property management or facilities management profession, or a B.A. graduate in facilities or real estate, or an approved certification program

organization dedicated to fostering leadership, education, networking and scholarship within the

Consistent with one of its goals of encouraging and recognizing excellence in pursuing a career in the
commercial real estate and facilities industry, ACP is providing scholarship opportunities.
Scholarship Award Descriptions:
$1,000 Scholarship to further your education
For deserving Asian-American students from High School (graduating seniors) thru College or applicable
trade school, pursuing a career in engineering, architecture or one of its related fields or in the building
trades, ACP is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a student in one of those fields.
$2,500 Scholarship to pay for certifications
For individuals currently working in facility or property management, or have recently graduated with a
Bachelors or certificate program in facilities or property management. ACP is providing a scholarship of
$2,500 towards the cost of one of the following certification programs: IFMA FMP, IFMA CFM, BOMA
RPA.
Eligibility:
$1,000 Scholarship applicants must be either: a current Asian-American High School graduating senior or
College or trade school student, or admitted to and pursuing a course of study in one of the fields related
to commercial real estate, including, but not limited to: Facilities Management, Real Estate Agency,
Brokerage or Development, Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Materials,
Industrial, Architectural, Environmental and all related engineering disciplines), General Contractor,
Construction Management.
$2,500 Scholarship applicants must be an Asian-American currently employed in the commercial property
management or facilities management profession, or have graduated with a Bachelors Degree in facilities
or real estate or an approved certification program.
Application Submittal: Candidates must fill out the application form and submit with their essay by 5pm
PST March 20, 2016 to Scholarship@asiancompro.com.
Essay: The candidates must submit an essay with their application. The essay should be up to 1,000
words on one of the following topics:
$1,000 student scholarship applicant
o In pursuing my chosen educational field, how will you contribute to the commercial real
estate industry once you have graduated?
o Tell us your top three reasons for applying for this scholarship and tell us why you are
deserving of this award
$2,500 certification program applicant
o Upon receiving your degree and or professional certification(s) what do you hope to
achieve in your work career?
o What are your career goals and objectives in the next 5 years and the next 10 years, and
how will you contribute back to the Asian American community?
Award Descriptions:
 $1,000 awards towards college tuition and/or book supplies
 $2,500 award towards these professional certifications: (IFMA FMP, IFMA CFM, BOMA RPA)
